In chemical engraving, the areas that will remain raised are coated using screen printing, before the component is dipped into acid or alkaline baths.

The depth of the engraving may vary from 0.01mm to 0.3mm to suit the desired effect.

Logos and text appear engraved or raised with a matt/shiny effect.

A variety of finishes are available by filling the engraving with paint.

 

Applications

 

Permanent marking

Aluminium, stainless steel, brass: chemical engraving for permanent markings.

This procedure is especially suitable for medium and long production runs.
